We're looking for a technical co-founder for a new NYC startup—an engineer who can help us scale in preparation for our beta launch this summer. Our backgrounds are in product design, user experience, and journalism. We aren't engineers but we've learned enough Ruby to hack together multiple iterations of a working beta. The ideal candidate is a creative developer who craves the fast-paced startup environment. Experience with APIs, Ruby-on-Rails or equivalent development frameworks a plus. Most important is that you're obsessed with this idea as much as we are and are ready for it to dominate every moment of your waking life. Kommons adds structure and context to big public conversations as they happen. We're starting by building a robust question and answer interface on top of Twitter. We make it easy for anyone to ask pressing questions about topics like #bpoilspill and use game mechanics to incentivize high quality responses.
